Robert “Mike” Arnold is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Proforma Safety International LLC since its founding in 1985 and has 30 years’ experience as a safety professional in both corporate and private industry.
Mike is a safety specialist in areas of geophysical, drilling, production and service operations and is a safety trainer/instructor in 23 HSE subject areas.
Proforma’s belief is that the customer should be informed of all matters related to HSE for any operation in which the company is involved, including any matters related to contractors, sub-contractors and vendors. Proforma knows that failure to deal with insufficiencies, ignorance or neglect can result in increased incidents, leading to claims and/or litigation.
“Our S.W.A.T. is comprised of engineering and safety professionals who have the training, experience and resources to ensure your company’s interests are protected and safety is a key business asset, rather than an operating expense,” says Mike. “Our goal is to make sure that all your personnel return home each day in the same condition as when they reported for work – without injuries and in good health.”
Robert “Scott” Arnold serves as president of Proforma Safety, having served previously as vice president of operations. Scott has 18 years’ experience as a safety professional in drilling, geophysical, production, transportation and service operations.
Scott also is trained as an emergency medical technician and hazardous material specialist. He is an accident investigation/reconstruction investigator, a fire, safety and accident prevention training specialist and investigator, and has served as incident commander and fire fighting instructor for industrial, municipal and marine environments and fire science technology.
”We try to instill two primary concepts in everyone’s mind: (1) always conduct a “what-if” analysis in advance of any job or task to identify hazards that may exist, and (2) believe you have the right and obligation to stop the job if a hazard does exist, or if you don’t feel comfortable that the work will be performed safely,” says Scott.
“This approach, when consistently applied, can result in significant reduction in accidents and injuries. For one client alone, we’ve helped achieve 15 million manhours without a Days Away From Work Case (DAFWC) injury.”
