deepwater_horizon4From all of us at Proforma Safety. . . Our deepest sympathy and prayers are extended to the families and loved ones of the eleven crew members who lost their lives onboard the Transocean Deep Water Horizon explosion and fire last week. This tragedy has touched everyone in our industry and reminds each of us who work in any of the wide range of operations that are conducted both onshore and offshore everyday, just how dangerous our jobs can be. As in so many incidents prior to this one, we will develop ‘lessons learned’ and formulate safer work methods and improved technologies to prevent any such reoccurrences in the future. It shall be our continued task as HSE advisors and safety professionals to remain vigilant and dedicated to the prevention of incidents and injury to individuals within our industry. This we can do and dedicate our efforts to the souls of those whom were lost and seriously injured on the Transocean Deepwater Horizon. Those who go down to the sea in ships,
Who do business on great waters;
They have seen the works of the Lord,
And His wonders in the deep.
