Proforma S.W.A.T. Units Patrolling the Roadways to Ensure Safe Transport

Proforma Safety provides a special service to industries that transport equipment by contracted trucks, operate truck fleets or insure clients with over-the-road operations – S.W.A.T. (Safe Work Awareness Team) units that patrol the roadways to observe, report, and if directed to do so, enforce company safety policies and procedures on the spot.

Proforma S.W.A.T. units observe the safe and un-safe driving habits of the contracted driver(s) entrusted with your load. If the situation warrants, they will provide the client with detailed reports supported by actual video footage of any un-safe acts or driver violations. If required, our S.W.A.T. team will assist the transport drivers in improving their driving habits, provide safety assistance in case of an emergency or breakdown and enforce your HSE policies to whatever extent directed.

Proforma Safety S.W.A.T. units are fully equipped with hands free radios that communicate with the driver(s) of the transport trucks, local and state law enforcement units and various DOT, weather and road condition reporting agencies. All S.W.A.T. units have overhead 360 emergency LED lights, traffic advisory directional lights, a full array of grill and tailgate mounted warning and signaling devices, two high db sirens, fixed and portable GPS systems, video cameras front and back and full source radar equipment with forward and rear facing antennas for speed surveillance. Each unit is capable of providing disabled transport protection by the use of high visibility emergency equipment that moves the traffic away from both on-road and on-shoulder stops while establishing maximum safety margins over all involved traffic lanes.

Each S.W.A.T. unit is also a fully equipped safety truck with such items as medical trauma kits, AED’s, SCBA units, hazmat suits, spill pads, firefighting equipment, emergency roadway warning devices, accident/incident investigation kits and a full array of PPE and safety supplies to name a few.

The Proforma Transport Safety Advisors who operate the special S.W.A.T. units are trained and certified safety professionals as well as ex-State Police and ex-USDOT agents who have been trained in all aspects of highway transport safety.
